Forage & Root
BY WOODLAND EDIBLES
Above ground
Food gardens that work with nature.
Permaculture design, hands-on garden care and community food restoration, led by Victor Grimaldi. We build food into the places people already are.
What we do
Three ways we grow food, together.

Our approach
Nature and family, in harmony.
Ecological and permaculture design
We work with nature, using time-tested permaculture principles to build systems that produce clean, nutrient-rich food for the people you love.
Science-backed methods
Our practices rest on current research in plant and soil biology. We use the partnership between a garden's biome and microbiome to build soil health and cut the need for heavy machinery or chemicals.
Imagine
A garden that mostly takes care of itself.
One
Less work, more nature
Picture a garden where soil, plants and pollinators do the heavy lifting.
Two
Empowered by nature
Once the design is in place, the garden fuels its own growth and vitality.
Three
Food for the neighborhood
Healthy gardens spill over: more food, more habitat, more neighbors in the dirt together.
Where we design
Any open ground can grow food.
Permaculture design adapts to the land in front of it. We work across three kinds of space.
Commercial
Local open spaces and business grounds.
Residential
The land around a home.
Industrial
Open ground on industrial sites.

Questions
Good questions, straight answers.
What makes Woodland Edibles different from other landscape or design companies?
We use the latest understanding of soil and plant biology to keep your plants healthy. We never use pesticides, salt-heavy fertilizers or insecticides. When the biology is healthy, you do not need them.
Where do you work?
Garden maintenance is currently offered in the North Metro Atlanta area only. Soil lab testing and permaculture design are available wherever you are, either directly through us or through a partner near you. Book a free consultation and we will tell you what fits.
Where do membership contributions go?
Straight into local nonprofit parks and community garden projects: building local food networks, supporting education, and organizing events for members.
Are your services affordable?
Yes. We can work within nearly any budget. Our goal is to move you toward food self-sufficiency and a healthier local food system, so we build a plan around what you can actually do.
I already have a landscaper, or I want to do the work myself. Can you still help?
Absolutely. We can give you design input, specialized advice and learning resources whether you hire a landscaper or do the digging yourself.
